A CYPHER Learning alternative built for Arabic and English

CYPHER Learning offers an AI-focused learning platform for businesses and academic institutions. Ilmoria is built for organisations that need Arabic and English on every screen and, for schools, parents, admissions and payments in the same place. Here is how to decide, including when CYPHER may suit you better.

About CYPHER Learning

CYPHER Learning is a company headquartered in Plano, Texas, founded by Graham Glass. Its learning platform, CYPHER, serves businesses as well as academic institutions, including K-12 schools, higher education and trade schools. A central focus is AI: CYPHER Agent builds courses from documents you supply, such as policies and product guides, and supports learners with conversational learning, skills assessments and role-play coaching.

When CYPHER Learning may suit you better

  • AI-generated courses built from your existing documents are your top priority.
  • You train customers as well as employees and want a platform that covers both.
  • Mapping skills across courses, modules and assessments is central to how you plan training.

Why teams look for an alternative

You need Arabic and English with full right-to-left for every user

Every screen in both languages, switchable at any time, with Arabic wording your staff can correct.

You run a school and want parents, admissions and payments in the same system

Parent conversations, applications, placement tests, invoices and receipts sit next to courses and grades.

You need official academic records

Final letter grades with confirmation and locking, and transcripts with GPA and credits issued as locked PDFs.

You want several schools or business units under one account

Each gets its own branding, web address, users and data, with central reporting across all of them.

Where Ilmoria is a strong fit

Arabic and English on every screen

Full right-to-left Arabic, and text people write is never machine-translated. See bilingual support.

AI that stays optional

AI assistance explains course-book passages, makes practice quizzes and turns handwritten equations into LaTeX, and each institution decides whether to switch it on.

For schools: the whole school year

Parent portal, admissions, placement tests, payments, final grades and transcripts in one platform.

For companies: onboarding and compliance

Corporate training with automatic enrolment by team, integrity-monitored quizzes and QR-verified certificates.

Many units, one account

Run schools, campuses and business units side by side, each with its own brand and isolated data.

Moving from CYPHER Learning

Moving from CYPHER usually takes four steps. Prepare users, courses and grades as CSV files, from your current platform's exports or your own records, and import them into Ilmoria. Upload videos, PDFs and other files, then rebuild lessons and assessments in the course builder; Ilmoria does not import CYPHER courses automatically. Pilot with one team, grade or business unit for a few weeks or a term, then train administrators, trainers or teachers, and learners before the full switch.

Questions buyers ask

Does Ilmoria use AI to build whole courses?

No. Ilmoria's AI helps inside courses rather than writing them. When an institution switches it on, it can explain a highlighted course-book passage, make a short practice quiz from a page, translate a sentence with a simple explanation, turn a photo of a handwritten equation into LaTeX and create course-book cover art. Teachers and trainers build the courses themselves.

Can one account serve both our schools and our corporate training?

Yes. One Ilmoria account can host schools, campuses and business units side by side. Each has its own branding, web address or subdomain, users and isolated data, while your central team sees reporting across all of them. Schools work with grades and parents, and business units with teams, compliance quizzes and certificates.

Can we upload SCORM or xAPI packages?

Not yet. SCORM and xAPI support is on the roadmap. Today, courses are built in the course builder, where you upload videos, PDFs and other files directly and add slides, quizzes and interactive activities around them. Training that is mostly video and documents can usually be set up again without rewriting the content.

Is the Ilmoria interface available in Arabic?

Yes. Every screen is available in Arabic and English, and each user can switch at any time. Arabic is fully right-to-left, and your staff can correct any Arabic interface wording. Text that people write themselves, such as lessons, messages and answers, is never translated automatically, so your content stays exactly as written.

How is Ilmoria priced?

Ilmoria uses annual plans priced per active learner, in three tiers: Starter, Growth and Enterprise. Your quote depends on learner numbers and the features you need, such as SAML single sign-on or API access. Visit the pricing page to request a quote for your school or company.
